Even with extensive machining facilities and lots of people to make it so, I would still not be happy using a single UJ. The chances of having it absolutely cock-on in any plane, so all other misalignments are angular, are a bit small.As mentioned earlier in the thread, the differential pinion is an inch off centre of the Jag axle, which I never realised until I started building, so the motor/box is slewed an inch over from front to back to line up. A bit of a compromise, but it's only 350hp so shouldn't be an issue.
Admittedly, if you don't actually use it much, you might not notice any ill-effects. Sounds like most of your enjoyment might be in the actual build
