I wouldn’t attempt a rectus21 on the fronius 2200 etc. There just isn’t the space practically. It would look too cramped and untwisting and unplugging stuff on there is a fiddle anyway with out another connection in the road. I’d just go standard gas through dins and keep it tidy.

Each to there own on that. I’ve had one and contemplated a rectus conversation but it’s just a touch tight for my liking already.
Spanner twirling is a big no no. Old hat. Gas through dinse you wouldn’t be spanner twirling either. I was very lucky with mine and a member on here who lived half hour up the road just happened to have a genuine w/c adapter kicking about. So it was a pound note exchange and a happy customer.

The EWM Phoenix is like that but it is a Mig foremost so I suppose it understandable.What's worse are the tig torches that are on a euro mig fittingurghhh

The multiprocess machines I have used generally just connect the tig torch to one of the 2 dinse sockets on the front with a rectus 21 for the gas.

Yes it’s not so bad on that if you can as it’s only utilising the same socket

The R-Tech is like that but it is sold as a multi-process, not sure if the EWM was or not, think primarily it was sold as a pulse mig.
Yes it has DC Lift start tig and also mma but never used either so not sure what they are like, I would imagine they would be pretty good though.

On quality machines the add on Processes tend to be decent
Lift dc tig is lift dc tig. It’s either gonna work as it should or not. MMA on the other hand can vary a lot. I’d imagine it’s going to have decent characteristics and the usual hot start, arc force settings to play with. It’s probably not going to be much of a cel lighter like a dedicated unit I dunno.

Both my tweco and magic wave have Good MMA characteristics. They eat low hys for breakfast. Neither of them are particularly amazing with a proper 6010 but they will get you out of trouble with them if needed. The magic wave is better with them than the lorch even though its got a much lower ocv.

Some one has clearly been reading your posts Pdg.There's a nice space directly above the torch socket, they've even marked it with a circle to get the hole centred nicely
Using a q/r (rectus or similar) would need less access to connect and release too - no need for spanner twirling.
Or you could just poke the gas hose out through the vent and have a dangley connector
This one is hopeful. He’s looking for €2600.

Looks like we're go with 6010 on this old girl... she'll whip about 1/2 inch before going out which is probably the best I've had yet off an inverter and certainly an improvement over my 1 working engine drive which won't run 6010 for ****...

I’ve got the adjustment toggle switch fitted for the background menus.
It’s nice because it is a very positive switch with a click then retract. One thing you’ll no doubt of noticed with these units every single switch and knob is extremely sensitive and it’s hard to do the whole 1 incremental thing. Well at least now I have one switch that will. Its positive click when going up and down makes the 1 increment easy.
