I picked up this transtig 2000 on Saturday, untested and an unknown... I powered it up last night and it works so tonight I'm just going over it cosmetically and fixing all the stripped chassis screws.
I like the diagnostic led's that are fitted to the boards, makes the service engineers job easier. You can see that when the output is energised in mma mode the 4x gate drive led's are 'on' that are fitted to the primary inverter board. The r-tech machines have the same.
I did mess up a bit though, drilling the case screws out to take m6 taptite screws, the front-middle hole pulled the drill down and damaged 3 tracks on the main control PCB a quick fix with the soldering iron has now cleared the 'error 3' that i was getting. I should have removed the front pcb beforehand, a silly mistake, I thought there was clearance.
New torch for this machine should be here in a few days, a parweld pro-grip 9 with dual button switch insert, as far as the euro style torches go, there are not bad at all.
