Prius drives 300 yards up the wrong side of the road pass everyone else queuing and turned right. Ignorant pigs.

Hahah... used to love doing that on the bikes.
Toddle up the outside to the T, wait until there was a sizeable gap in the oncoming traffic in the right-side lane, and simply blast out to the right, melding in with traffic on my left.
Got a few indignant hoots from mugs in the queue, but stuff'em.

I used to drive a white Cavalier saloon, once went to pick someone up from Bradford interchange and 2 people, separately tried getting in, thinking it was a taxi (Bradford taxis were, or still are, white with a black bonnet)

I had a few people round Bethnal Green / Brick Lane area try to flag me down as a taxi when I was chugging around in a Morris Minor !

Alu bar, thanks to @Bki26 for finding and sharing the details.

Amazon haul. Seems I ordered 8 bags of chainsaw sharpening bits( plus a few bags last week!) an imperial square and three socket sets.

The sockets are thin but look ok for light work. Better than expected!

I’d heard great things about these sanders and Toolstation had them on offer and having zero willpower, need I say more.
I already have the older 5” M18 non fuel sander and it’s pretty good with decent dust extraction but it’s fairly heavy with a 5ah battery on, makes the fingers tingle and because it’s tall makes it’s easy to tip on the edge of the disc and have it dig in.

This is much lighter being M12 but much better ergonomics with a lower height but it’s so smooth too with barely any vibration and controllable with the paddle switch combined with the speed control.
Downside is the run time isn’t as long but that is offset with nearly a third more sanding surface. This is also a 5mm orbit compared to my M18 being 2.4mm so will be more aggressive too. It should pair up nicely with the M12 detail sander that has been great to use too.

very tempting , my only orbital is corded but I've plenty of m12 batteries , i'd have preferred a 125 base though this maybe swapable .

I can’t see why not, just a 6 mm screw on backing plate.

Change of plans.

The more I looked at the red trolley the more I knew it was worn / damaged basically everywhere. It would have taken many hours to bodywork and repaint and still need new gas struts, lock barrels and keys, new rubber top and new drawer runners.

So I sold it on cheap again tonight.

I then seen a black Bluepoint trolley only 6 months old for +£150 on what I got for the red one. In black, the colour I wanted too.



It is as new not a scratch on it. Ill still polish it up & fit new liners. Keys, locker and folding shelf. But that was a smart decision I think!

Many years ago, I think when I took my Lancia Stratos replica for SVA, there was one being tested - someone was importing them into the UK. Tester said they were struggling to get them through the test - one big issue was the greenhouse glass used in the windows - simple plate glass!
