Nah they were for prototyping, I've got a company lined up to do the lot recommended to me by other climbers who used them.

Was quite entertaining putting over 900kg on it with the chain block but not fun manually pulling up 88kg for the drop tests!

You won't regret it. They make greasing , a nicer task. I would recommend a coupler, that you can press to release, ( Google g coupler) to make it easier to remove hose. You can put so much pressure, into a blocked nipple, that you can knacker the end, trying to get it off, because they are so tight

I thought I had one somewhere, I did, it was on a old pneumatic grease gun, unfortunately BSP. I measured the new grease gun and it is 1/8" NPT so one is on its way. The only pain is greasing the bobcat lift arm fulcrum. Its through a tiny hole then it turns 90 degrees. From memory this requires a bit of flexible hose with a coupler on one end and a grease nipple on the other, otherwise you have to unbolt fittings every time you grease them. There's no way a standard G coupler will get in there.

I think that is why I didn't move the G coupler to my last grease gun, I never got around to fitting a nipple to a flexible grease gun hose. I guess I should pull my finger out and sort it

I have a few new tools to find a place for.

The 18-62 in-lbs Wiha adjustable-torque driver will be very handy, as it fills a gap in my existing small torque drivers. It's a good torque range for several types of electrical devices.

I need to crimp a few ferrules that are a bit too large for my current hex crimper, so I got a cheap one that should do the job. I don't do that many of that type of ferrule, so I don't think I'll ever wear it out.

I'm looking forward to trying out the Jonard wire stripper on some 3 AWG wire for my planned backup generator installation. It should strip the insulation quickly without nicking the conductors.

The stubby little Wiha handle was just too cute to pass up. I've got dozens and dozens of bits that will fit it.

It’s the kit from RDG with a few holders.

Had my eye on it for a while and resisted but a recent offer with £10 off made me hit the buy button.

It’s a slightly smaller diameter stud size than my existing tool holder so I need to make a stud the correct size.

Not today, but very recently acquired around 40 tonne of sandstone hard-core.

About 20 tonne in this pic so far.

I'm using sandstone rather than limestone as it's cheaper and good enough for it's intended use, plus the driver is local and can get it to exactly the spot I want. 6 or 8 wheelers can't and the drivers usually complain about getting to the location, their clutch, their hand bag etc

I have a rare bit of flat land behind the barn, but it's just earth on random building rubble. Vehicles like my bobcat sink in it as it attracts rain from the sump on the road nearby as it blocks frequently. The run off then seeps into the barn. Its also near the chicken shed and ideal for rats to live in. The barn is full of logs seasoning in IBCs, trailers etc. so can't do much in there.

So the plan is to dig this area out of most of the topsoil, this will be used to make a small terrace in the field. The hard-core and subsequent concrete will make a 25m x 3m mainly flat area, but directing water away from the barn into a channel that takes it to a stream. Then I'll build a lean too on the side of the barn for about 20m of it to store seasoning wood and trailers. It's quite secure back there as there is only one way in/out to block. Also a place to put the Bobcat when I'm using the barn for spraying.

Thanks, it's lovely now but most of the year it's windy and wet, but we like the contrast. I've just installed a scaffie pole for a washing line, it won't see much action once this heatwave passes

It comes with six punches that are sized for standard conduit fitting knockout sizes that we deal with here. It was very inexpensive, but the quality seems pretty decent for the price, and at the rate I'd be using it, it should outlast me. I suspect that the price might be going up soon.

That's probably the standard hand pump used for other applications as well so you should be able to use it with those cheap low profile Jack's or any other vevor hydraulic tool

One boot to wear in bed to hopefully treat my plantar fasciitis. Doing loads of exercises, got the insoles, it helps but no cigar. A mate swears by these as a longer term fix so I hope it's worth the inconvenience.
