That's my German shepherd and he was in his warm fluffy bed indoors all day yesterday yawning and snoring before the photo. It's his double coat that is working well in that case

Once I figure it out how to run it in the workshop my intention is to see if I can leave it under the van, suitably secured, and duct the hot air in through the opening side window I recently had fitted. Just need to devise some means of interfacing said ducting to the window, probably something fashioned from 3/4" ply, and rig up a 12 volt supply from the leisure battery. If that all works I'll look at a permanent installation under the van in a dedicated box made from a sheet of 1/8" aluminium chequer plate that's been lurking behind the shed for a while....

Primarily purchased for the van, I'm hoping it will also heat my workshop this winter. This cold damp weather is doing my aching and aging joints no good whatsoever to the point where I've spent most of the last two weekends in the house in front of the log burner, so here hoping it will make workshop time more bearable. Its definitely stuff i could sell on for a profit but my whole workshop is full of stuff i could probably do that with but thats not why I acquired it and although the stories will die with me I can probably still remember where i got it from and the genuinely nice people that effectively gave it too me. Would almost feel guilty selling it on , plus I may use it one day even if ive had it 20years so far and not so far
