As well as one item, not shown yet.
Theses were nice.
Small and working DC amp meter.
Plus a London Bus.
The dog looks a bit cold! Some random but essential test runs with my new thermal camera

That's my German shepherd and he was in his warm fluffy bed indoors all day yesterday yawning and snoring before the photo. It's his double coat that is working well in that case
Without thermal image

If you find it's simply taking up too much room, you feel free to drop it off here next time you're passing!Sort of acquired as my dad passed away in October and I’ve been sorting his space. I’ve liberated his Frosts English Wheel and extra dies. This will get used.
Heavy thing too!

You should see the stuff I get for others.I sometimes post them here.Man you scrounge some of the nicest wall hangers and man cave stuff..
Was the same when I bought my metal cabinets (proper ones)...guy was being forced to sell them as he'd moved in with his daughter and I think she wanted here garage back. He was happy when he heard they were going to be used as intended. He was happy it all went to someone who would us
Maxxair?? Will be ordering mine in the next couple of days…More goodies for the camper conversion.
A sexy (???) skylight fan thing for the roof.

Not overly enamoured with the prospect of cutting a 14" square hole in the roof of the van but such is life. Remote control, as if I'd have to move a long way in a swb Transit Custom, rain sensor so if it's open it will close automatically if if it senses rain, and it sucks and blows
.
And a Chinese diesel heater:

Primarily purchased for the van, I'm hoping it will also heat my workshop this winter. This cold damp weather is doing my aching and aging joints no good whatsoever to the point where I've spent most of the last two weekends in the house in front of the log burner, so here hoping it will make workshop time more bearable. Allegedly 8kw output, which I doubt, it also has a remote control and Bluetooth () and comes complete with a mains to 12volt transformer. Once I figure it out how to run it in the workshop my intention is to see if I can leave it under the van, suitably secured, and duct the hot air in through the opening side window I recently had fitted. Just need to devise some means of interfacing said ducting to the window, probably something fashioned from 3/4" ply, and rig up a 12 volt supply from the leisure battery. If that all works I'll look at a permanent installation under the van in a dedicated box made from a sheet of 1/8" aluminium chequer plate that's been lurking behind the shed for a while...
These two projects should keep me busy this weekend.
Its definitely stuff i could sell on for a profit but my whole workshop is full of stuff i could probably do that with but thats not why I acquired it and although the stories will die with me I can probably still remember where i got it from and the genuinely nice people that effectively gave it too me. Would almost feel guilty selling it on , plus I may use it one day even if ive had it 20years so far and not so farWas the same when I bought my metal cabinets (proper ones)...guy was being forced to sell them as he'd moved in with his daughter and I think she wanted here garage back. He was happy when he heard they were going to be used as intended.
This stuff can only survive if we all pass it on to people who will use it.

Shall have to look at those myself then.. didn’t know they existed..No, RV Ventilation Fans, £179 from Amazon.
While Maxxair look like a good piece of kit, the price is just a bit too much for me, and I don’t think the larger models would fit in the roof of a Transit Custom without having to chop away the cross members. Watched quite a few YouTube videos of people fitting the RV fans into Transits without any undue bother, hence the purchase.
No doubt there's someone out there who thinks they're the worst thing ever made but it looks perfect for my needs.
