One of these except for £20 locally as the person used it once and no longer required it. Will come in handy for planting the new laurels along my fence in the ground that's as tough as nails

Seems heavy and well made I tested it beside a stump and it easily chopped through roots etc

Given the fact he was selling an RX-7 and the insertion is not available anymore I'm pretty sure that he doesn't own any car he trying to sell on FB marketplace ...
So I guessed it's just a time waste ...
Unfortunately because it looks like a good deal...

I saw this old compressor advertised online for £20. This seemed a fair deal to me as it included a 1 HP single phase motor, but after contacting the seller to say I'd have it, I realised the seller was 40 minutes away. Amazingly, the seller offered to deliver it for no extra charge and arrived on time today. Nice bloke!

Wiring on the motor is dodgy as expected but the motor runs very nicely. I can easily tidy this up when it gets stripped down for a full service. It probably weighs about 30 kg.

I have no interest in the air receiver as it is small and would need testing anyway. The trolley looks useful for something. It reminds me a bit of an Allen scythe.

The compressor pump looks interesting and turning over by hand appears to have excellent compression. I have lots of spare motors and now I'm wondering whether to try the compressor with a 2 HP motor as a possible quieter upgrade to my existing noisy direct drive compressor. Looking at the existing pulley arrangement, the pump runs at about 1000 RPM. Any thoughts?

I was looking here and there for helicoil sets .
Found interesting things on temu but once in the cart price rised up so I went back to trusty AliExpress searched for Loclifl , discovered an entire world of Loctite knock off .
Now 243 is 30 or 40 euros over here where I live and I'm already using cheaper alternatives.
And ain't going to finish the 50ml bottle too soon (bought 3 or 4 years ago) I've used about half of it considering I've left the thing on a side and lost a bunch of product .
Anyway I wanted to try them out and bought a bunch of them.

Bearings locker, all the fake Loctite I've bought have this on off nozzle under the cap which hopefully will avoid to make a mess if I inadvertently tip them over.

And the entire selection of thread lockers this specific brand sells
So 222,242,243,263,271,272,290 faketite

Liquid insulation tape just because I think might be useful.

I can't wait to try those out and see if they are worth something.

I can start saying something.
As a machinist I'm pretty confident to say that for most of us Loctite 90% of the times is only really required when something is wrong.
Retaining compound... If a bearing has to be glued in place... Guess what... Something is wrong.
Bad machining, wrong tolerances, something needs to be reclaimed .
Thread lockers as well, if you use the correct size fasteners, torqued to specs, you'll very hardly need Loctite.
We assemble engines after boring, grinding etc
Most of them uses ARP bolts ,or other types of fasteners meant to stretch and bind into the threaded holes.
We never use Loctite, we actually lube the threads to avoid ruptures.
We use thread lockers on hydraulic rods nuts only because we don't replace the self locking nuts, hydraulic pressure can actually go through the threads loosening the nut, an also because the piston might rotate inside the cylinder loosening the nut .
Catastrophic failure often occurs do to the nut becomes loose, sometimes stretching the threads eventually shearing the threaded diameter off the rod, some other times it just falls into the cylinder destroying everything.
The remaining 10% is when you really need thread lockers but you also hardly need to disassemble the bolted components
1% you want to make next guy explode in rage
We all did at least once, when the customer wants to take the work somewhere else because he's cheaper or whatever reason that makes you getting upset.

That's my point of view, of course I'm not talking about high tech engineering.
But there's actually people who use it everywhere without any actual need

Crikey - not seen one of those Tonka tippers since I was very small. Mine had a hard life for several years on many many earth moving sites in various back gardens Finally wore it out using it as a go-kart down the road. Had a cement mixer version too. Sure I had another but can't remember what it was. A big scraper too - that ended up a steerable go-kart down the hill - thumbs in the rubber air cleaners on the front part.
