Not acquired as such, more rediscovered.

Moving stuff around, I rediscovered dads old vice. I remember when it was mounted on a bench, and the top of my head didn't quite touch the end of the tommy bar when it was hanging down ! Got to be 55 plus years ago, and it was old then ! It saw some abuse too, as I got older. Was taken off the bench when we moved house in 1978, after he had died. Not been used since.

Bit of slack in the mechanism though, but the QR works fine.

Got 2 new machines.
They are damaged by a flood and sold as broken.

Fortunately both are working after 3 month of drying in a warm shed.

A quick tir of my boot laces and they were saved.


Then I saw this going into the direction of the metal skip.

The young man said he couldn't to work.

I wonder why?

Yeah I didnt expect then to be so big but came from a 50 ton press will be handy on my 30, I think the pegs in the bottom unscrew and a quick check they fit across the Bridgeport table perfectly so should be multipurpose if accuracy not an issue
