Suspect at 15 ton itll do a tad more than brake a finger….more likely squash it fully flat!

It does look British, that weld on the top left goes off to the rightI hope not too cheap, I'll turn green - that looks like a rebadged CAM equipment press. Proper (still british) made unit, pretty spendy new.
I'd swap my Chinese 30T for one in an instant. Nice score!
Luckily it has a thick coat of red paint and dirt to reinforce it.
Nice machine. Keep it well oiled in use, including the bobbin, manual at https://singerco.co.nz/support/manuals/View attachment 460148
A Singer model 201 sewing machine.
Serial number dates it to December 1937.
Not "industrial" but a quick experiment shows it will go through 4 thicknesses of webbing without an issue.
Various YouTube/websites are saying it will do a couple of layers of upholstery leather.
Certainly *much* better for my intended use (tool bags) than mums 1960s "dressmaking" machine.

old 50 years ago, sitting on the shelves.
That is just so good.Good news.
I no longer have to go to the skips.
They come to me.

Thank you for the link.
My mum was a tailor at Hepworth's in the 50s and 60s, but only had a light machine -
a Singer 348 "stylemate" at home.
I remember her using it to repair our canvas frame tent after the "big storm" of 1987, but it was mainly used for altering clothing.
My daughter has it now, I've been doing any sewing by hand.
I bought the 201k because sewing canvas and leather by hand is tedious, to say the least.

Dont hold your breath, they all have a death wish! A flail mower on a tractor would have been far less hassle.Apparently we needed sheeps, a little bunch of Herdwicks so they should a bit hardier and have less of a death wish than those white commercial things
