Suspect at 15 ton itll do a tad more than brake a finger….more likely squash it fully flat!
Well I'd never heard of CAM Equipment till now, but I agree it does look exactly the same as the photo on their website.
I had it down as pretty old, judging from general style of construction, and the hand-scribed serial number plate which took a bit of finding under the layers of dust and grease. It wasn't very red when I picked it up. Looks like I may have had more of a lucky find than I realised. It came with a pair of decently thick arbor plates too.

A Singer model 201 sewing machine.
Serial number dates it to December 1937.
Not "industrial" but a quick experiment shows it will go through 4 thicknesses of webbing without an issue.
Various YouTube/websites are saying it will do a couple of layers of upholstery leather.
Certainly *much* better for my intended use (tool bags) than mums 1960s "dressmaking" machine.

It does look British, that weld on the top left goes off to the right
Luckily it has a thick coat of red paint and dirt to reinforce it.

Big bore kit 52mm for the G372XP. Generally it looks good. I'll stick better photos in the chainsaw thread as I do have a couple questions

My grandfather was a sewing machine wiz, and spent WW2 running a team 50 men fixing tents on secondment to the US army.
We have a 132k6 heavy canvas and leather machine and a 42-4 as well, set up on a bench. Doesn't see much use these days, but handy for bag and cover repairs. Pretty sure there is also a carpet overlocker and another 42-4 from the family carpet business that my father sold 50 years ago, sitting on the shelves.

My mum was a tailor at Hepworth's in the 50s and 60s, but only had a light machine -
a Singer 348 "stylemate" at home.
I remember her using it to repair our canvas frame tent after the "big storm" of 1987, but it was mainly used for altering clothing.
My daughter has it now, I've been doing any sewing by hand.
I bought the 201k because sewing canvas and leather by hand is tedious, to say the least.

That is just so good.
just by coincidence, a friend of my wife needed some velcro sewing onto what is basically a dressing gown for her dog. It wouldn't fit in her domestic sewing machine. A few minutes with the 132k6 and it was done, once I got the sewing machine sorted.
I think I need some new thread. It has been many years since linen was made in Belfast, let alone linen thread, and the roll I had was brittle. Since colour wasn't important, I changed to a polycotton green I used to use for canvas tents and bag repairs.

Dont hold your breath, they all have a death wish! A flail mower on a tractor would have been far less hassle.

Have you tried carving a flail mower or even trying to get it in the oven for sunday lunch!
an army marches on its stomach dontcha know and vegetables are only on the plate to stop the meat falling off

Yes we've tried sheep's, pigs, poultry etc….far easier to support your local farmer and buy meat boxes…Have you tried carving a flail mower or even trying to get it in the oven for sunday lunch!
