Went to get some 20mm box to make a frame for the lathes rear splash guard.
The stockholders is also a fabricators so has offcuts sold by the kg.
This 320x25mm disc for £16.50 will be perfect to make a face plate from. I'll make a suitable threaded boss

Went down the tractor shop for a spare part for the bailer even though its done its job this year but should be ready for next year! no idea what its made of its just a guide bush for the twine but £30 plus vat two pence for scale

And extras, gloves, squirty stuff, a belt for the mower cutting deck, bargain of the visit a mixed bag of 26 R clips and lynch pins for £4.99!

Well, today I got this:



I am very much hoping it is the solution to my tool storage and organisation in the office. It will mean I have two roll cabs full of tools and I would much prefer a really long single base but this is the next best thing I think, have ordered the closed cell foam for the drawer liners and after work tomorrow I will try toget a bit of butcher block for the top. We will see.

Road 6's. Excellent rubber I have them on my bike. £335 a pair they aint cheap but by God they work and wear well.

I've done around 100 miles today of steady and spirited riding and I'm sold, they took a bit of how fast they tipped in but yes what a good tyre!

I was going to mention the turn-in but I figured that being new tyres you'd be going easy anyway. They do turn in fast when new!

Very nice and a strange feeling .
It's since I've started working on electrical that I've always wanted a FLUKE
I was aiming for the 117 but I'm happy with the 115 .
Next step would be a clamp meter ,an installation tester and an insulation tester .
Step by step with no rush .
Something I've learned
I used to end up with delusion to have not won an auction .
But suddenly find a much better occasion and win .

Clamp amp meters have massively dropped in price the last couple of years.

I've only found one at an human price but it requires a new LCD because it's fading
But yes clamp meter come at a relatively affordable price , always talking of FLUKE .
I might even get a new one but hopefully I'll find a bargain like the 115 I've bought.
After I've received it in the mail I've found a 117 cheaper than the one I've bought but in worst shape .
It's not easy to be enough patient to examine every single sold item to choose the better to buy.

A low impedance ohmmeter is what you want. Probably will be part of the insulation tester.

I'm no good at boning (or deboning?) meat, realistically it's because I've never taken the time to learn, but having the right tool for the job should help, so here's a late birthday present.




And speaking of the right tool for the job, this lot has been sat at home waiting for me for weeks.


Anyone who's repaired rotten window frames will know this is the good stuff. Now unfortunately I have no excuses, I need to climb a ladder and swing a die grinder around.

I was told that one of my screwdriver handles is made of ironwood (Ostrya virginiana), but it won't stick to my magnetic rack. Maybe I should get a refund.
