My brother has problems with his dl650. He cant walk it backwards for example, that would help him!
As for noticing the differences, I tried lots of adjustments on the cbr6 without really being able to feel it and I was not riding slow. Unless your on a track, chasing lap times I think its an extra complexity to maintain that I wouldnt want.
Motogp has a ban on active suspension, I think they should allow it and remove the silly manual lowering devices before an accident happens.
On a road bike I am not sure if it would be such an advantage or even have such differences between suspension settings. On a long travel suspension bike that is meant for two extremes of touring and off road there is a big difference between the settings and they are very noticeable and work very well but every one to their own heck some people even like gear shifts on the right and total loss engine lubrication.

Used them the last day and so far they are as good as the ones I got from Zoro, not sure how long they will stay at that price however as I think normally they are about £70

Also from the "Thursday treasure" of a fortnight ago, but today acquired operational readiness without risk to life.
Part of the electrical wiring as I got it:
I don't follow every letter of the VDE ("Verband der deutschen Elektroingenieure" = Association of German Electrical Engineers) for safety, but these plugs are no longer allowed and the cables didn't seem quite up to date to me.
I got a new cable and a new plug for the "little one" and attached them:
Just now I noticed that it looks like there are three individual pulleys and not a common component ...
As I said, this was the "small" one with 1.5 kW, there was also a "big" one with 3 kW:
The cable was OK, must have been replaced once, the switch with reversal of rotation works and is looped in, I still had the plug lying around.
Shaft 25mm, keyway 8mm.
The running smoothness is phenomenal, but it is definitely too heavy to carry around - nevertheless: when switching on from a standstill or changing the direction of rotation, the thing jumps up a bit, is briefly in the air. Torque is present!
And then some measuring stuff came today too:
A nice big angle gauge.
A zero level finder, heavy lump.
And a dial gauge for 1µm over 5mm.
Funny was, when I opened it immediately fell an "important certificate" toward me and I think whatever, another slip to throw away.
But in this case it is actually the sheet to the gauge, the number on the paper matches the lasered number in the case ... and also dates from this year ...
Never happend before (to me as a private tinkerer anyway)

Well, you seemed to be interested ... we need to buy 5 sets = 30 clamps, that splits nicely in two ...
And yes, it's only interesting for folk on the continent
Looks impressive and useful for quick and easy changes from just rider to two up, motorway or back roads.
Sort of thing I wish I had on my Caterham - you really notice pre-load changes, damper changes and ride height adjustments - except they all have to be done manually - the damper adjustment is quite easy, but the rest . . . set up to suit me on my commute doesn't work for two of us and luggage heading for Italy . . . and that then isn't quite right for a charge up some tiny back road passes over the Alps. Leave it on the touring settings, and I jiggle my teeth around, leaping from bump to bump, solo heading back from work.
Sort of thing some cars have had for a while - never though about it being on bikes.
