Seriously though it has different modes and settings.
For example on preload you can adjust for rider, rider and luggage, rider and pillion, rider pillion and luggage.
You can set up each of these in the menu to suit yourself, range of 1-25 I think.
You also have different damping settings that change with riding mode.

You also have individual damping settings for front and rear.
Rear is the same.
This is the settings for each modes but User mode 1 and 2 can be set to what you like.
The suspension also automatically adjusts within the modes according to the road conditions, for example the offroad suspension is very supple but if you hit a big bump it stiffens up to stop (or hopefully stop) you bottoming out.
Quite complex but once it is all set up the way you want it is just a button press to change between modes and thus suspension (amongst other setting) I normally ride in the two user modes which I have set up for normal main road riding and the other for narrow country roads.

Sounds like the Piezo shock Noleen fitted to some of their MTBs in the early 90s. Interesting but totall BS

Nah this works well, makes a huge difference to the feel of the suspension and makes things great for different roads, for example for fast twisty roads you have it set up firm and for narrow single track bumpy country roads you set it up soft, it is amazing.
I actually never ordered the ES version as I was happy enough with the manually adjusted suspension I had on my 2021 AT but the dealer ordered the wrong model by mistake so when I noticed I called him up and offered to pay some of it, I had decided I would pay half of the £1500 extra but he said how about £500 and I said ok

Do you walk into your house on a night and think. Oh the CH is working well tonight.

No you dont. Why because it just does what its supposed to do. You dont give it a second thought.
So why do you need to feel the difference in how suspension works. Simple you dont. If you can feel the difference then its NOT working.
In MTB sales its called the carpet test. In that the customer can see how well the suspension works in the shop, so it MUST work on the trail. BS. Its for selling bikes. No different in the MC world. Shiney sells.
Correctly sell set up suspension (including spring changes) will make a night and day difference to the handling of the bike in any condition the average punter will feel.

Not really as for the different settings on a normal setup you need to adjust the compression and rebound damping (usually screwdriver and spanner) and preloads manually and if you are honest with yourself you will set the suspension up once to suit your most common riding roads and live with it not being optimal on the other roads.
With this it can be done at the push of a button in a fraction of a second so if you come off a fast road onto a bumpy single track road or go up a dirt road or farm track or whatever you can adjust the suspension to match the conditions at the push of a button instead of making do.
I was a disbeliever myself but on the way home from the dealers I noticed the suspension felt much better than my 2021 model and then when I looked down I saw it was the ES version and it is brilliant

I am, it is and if it ever goes wrong out with the warranty I can always just disable it and fit normal suspension if I can't afford to get it fixed.

Can shorties push a button to lower the bike for getting on and off?
My brother has problems with his dl650. He cant walk it backwards for example, that would help him!
As for noticing the differences, I tried lots of adjustments on the cbr6 without really being able to feel it and I was not riding slow. Unless your on a track, chasing lap times I think its an extra complexity to maintain that I wouldnt want.
Motogp has a ban on active suspension, I think they should allow it and remove the silly manual lowering devices before an accident happens.

Biggest improvement you can make to a bike is get the suspension set up. Plenty suspension builders these days around the country. Yes it might cost, if you need a different spring or spring, or even a rebuild. But as a percentage of a bikes value its peanuts.
Those clamps were a bargain,let us know if their any good.
