A Velux window. I'm not sure it's possible to fit a 21.5" wide Velux window into a roof that has rafters 18" apart without some major work, but I'll have to look into it. Or through it, if it is.

Got myself a 6LB maul as eldest is regularly supplying rubble bags of wood for the outside fire.
And as the Mrs has stolen my nylon Thor, I bought myself a bigger 38mm one which came with the soft grey ends as well as the white standard one which was a nice surprise.

Quite a haul this afternoon of FB marketplace , all I went for was
some anvil stakes , ( it's a shame the two small ones won't fit in the anvil ) but after a bit of a chat with the seller I came away with this lot
one of the hammers is a duplicate , and this
it may become a lamp and a hand former ( very well home made .must be 30kg + )
it will take up to 500mm and another Ingersol rand upright compressor in very nice condition , twin pump.
pick it up saturday as the wallet was bare . Mind for what I paid for it all it would have been rude to say no

Forced to go to Aldi today by Mrs Robo, it would have been rude not to check out the centre aisle and as I had lost a couple of cheap straps recently, these were a bargain for £6 for a set of 4
Those bottle jacks are awesome. Pushing things apart horizontally.

How much is the 10R on offer? They seem to be £639 online, I may get one to have a play with, I think I will go for the GYS over the Sealey on past experience with Sealey kit?

Both the GYS and the Sealey VS230 are available for £640ish inc vat. Nowhere is local to me so it will be whoever is cheapest by mail order.
Looking at the specs and video the GYS seems a better built machine however it is only 1000W whereas the Sealey is 2000W, so now I can’t decide! Is the VS230 one you have experience with?

Yes it’s the 230. I am impressed with it. I probably use it beyond its means but I just hold it on till stuff glows. I’m using it in a commercial truck garage for wheelnuts and ball joints that have never been off etc.
It is a game changer.
If I was buying and had the cash, I’d go as big as I could afford. But if you’re mainly doing car stuff I reckon you won’t have any issues with the 230 at all.
I just work with “go big or go home”
When buying stuff.
The bootlace is the only attachment I’ve used. So can’t comment on the others. They are where the money is when you replace them though.
I like the GYS ends. They’re better.
It is a shame you can’t try one first.

I had 13kg of brass fittings so all clean 'ish. Then 48kg of chromed brass, mainly taps, soap dispensers and wastes.

I had a lovely three section wind up jack nicked out me garden by the thieving scrappers 
it was massive at least a 10 tonner I would think . Do you collect them ? jacks that is not feet .
