Today i acquired 4 things, a pack of 50 M16 A2 stainless nuts a Harry Potter Lego train a Milwaukee bit set and another year older.
A shiny new 3/8 drive socket set and a set of miniature brushes, courtesy of Machine Mart, and a freebie tin of electrical cleaner spray, courtesy of my mates that let me park my wagon in their yard at weekends, all destined for the gear locker on my trailer.
Running a 20 year old artic unit that's coupled to a 15 year old trailer is apt to be a touch challenging at times

20 year old DAF XF, seen here with the trailer stretched open with a couple of 22m lengths of rail onboard.

Gotta love a eurocrate
Got stacks of the 350*200 and a handful of the bigger sizes. Very useful especially as they stack well
Used to screw the big ones to the van floor and stack other on top. Never moved in transit

Help MIS members realize that age is just a number. That new things are just that, new things.
Not things to be scared off.
We have a lot of work to go. But small steps.
Then I got a blast from the past.
A Pallfiinger crane I did the electrics on back in 2006 came to the Men In Shed area to lift on a load of "Modern Art" on to a lorry.
Got to play with one of mine.
I knew it was one on mine.
The positions of stickers. We all had our own way of placing them. Plus my name is still there.
Then, 10 cans of beer.
Happy times ahead.

Lovely set up and the pin striping finishes the truck off nicely, especially the rims. Trailer looks a rear steer?
She doesn't look bad considering she's 20 years old and has nigh-on 3 million km's behind her.
And the trailer isn't far behind at 15 years old. Single extending Broshuis, fully steered, a lovely piece of kit, and follows me round corners like a dream.

Charity shop friend has just left.
She popped in for a coffee and left me this small bundle.
The glass cutter is unused.
The brass Tap is a odd design. It is seized, but feels nice in the hand.
The Valve core tin was seized shut when I got it, but you could hear the contents rattling.

yesterday I acquired some Drummond brochures from the early 1900's. I was invited to have a rummage though a filing cabinet for brochures for local machine tool companies to donate to the local industrial museum.....but knowing that someone on here had a passion for Drummond lathes, it would be rude not take them for him and send them to him for free in the next couple of weeks.
and I also got a couple of catalogs of second hand industrial machine tools from the mid 1950's, and the local industrial museum dont want them, I can think of someone on here with a passion for old lathes who would probably like them. but it will be a few weeks before I get the answer on that.
