That just looks so wrong, handy things to have no doubt about it but it looks wrong every time I see a car on a rig like that.^^^ I think cj autos does one with a wheel kit that you can attach once it's over....then you can push it around the garage. But I think they are selling what I bought for over £400....then you have to add the wheel kit so starts getting very expensive.
I saw the liqui for £425 but I'd set me budget at £400 and it didn't happen....I've ended up with a roller and a 5 foot farm jack instead

Yep I had the same idea....I'll stick a bar in just in case....seems like a crazy feature to me and I was really surprised when it happened. I might look at deleting that feature...it seems to be caused by the return spring so restricting the springs movement would prevent it neutralising both pins at the same time!
zx9....yea I totally agree....just looks like the bolted on a set of jockey wheels from a trailer!

they were used to support HGV's when using the lorry lifting gear I put up for sale, not selling these...… way too useful, and very heavy..... have a bit of a backlog of cars waiting for attention, Jag has been up there for 2 1/2 years but now I have the compressor working ……..

or this mobile single sided lift! only mobile when empty, actually very good access to the underside but I did not want to tie the lift up for 5 years while I thought about restoring the Jag, so I used the stands,

Need s a lot of TLC, the overload trip is sensitive. The meter does not swing full scale. The leads some attention.
But apart from that, it's dandy.

New in the box genuine made in Sheffield Jacobs 3a chuck.
Seized at first but a quick soak in wd40 and it's as smooth as silk! Very happy.

A new stand for my anvil. Emailed a local sawmill last week via their website to see if they would sell me a piece of tree trunk but got no reply. Drove over there yesterday - no computers to be seen anywhere in the office so no surprise that they don’t read their emails.
The very nice old lady behind the desk said to go to the yard across the road - mind the telehandlers - and have a look on the scrap heap, if I can find what I want it’s 5 euros! They only process oak, found a usable piece together with a couple of railway sleeper off cuts - their main product.

In the course of 'dismantling' the linisher to give it a bit of a clean, I noticed that the previous owner had the belt on backwards, i.e. the arrows against the direction of travel.
Thinking about this and looking at how the belt is made/moves, I can't really see it matters which way round it is. Am I missing something vitally important to the efficient operation of the machine, or just being dumb....?

I bought a Kamasa socket set from Lewis Leathers on Great Portland Street when I was in my second year at Polytechnic of Central London that would have been in 1985. I have still got most of the AF and Whitworth sockets which have been used on old BL cars but the more frequently used MM ones are a mostly lost and replaced, I think I only split one of them and rounded off a couple. So if impetus youth proof they must have been OK.
