From past experience with this type of torch
Look closely at the batteries. Quite often marked at 4000mah or similar but when stuck on a digital charger they are tiny capacity. Charge quick and die in 15 minuites.

Worth buying a nitecore charger

Not with buying anything unbranded with batteries or LEDs off eBay, the Chinese tell whoppers about the wattage and amp hr capacity.

Like the 200 amp welders that only put out 120 amps.

It's not big , Size is 1200 x 595 x 790 but it'll do for me and like I said it was cheap

In that condition I would sell it to a restaurant and buy the steel for a proper heavy duty welding table.

Bought one of those external deburring tools.
Didn't expect it to be good but at 4£ delivered to my door I just had to try one.

Well, it arrived cracked. About 30sec later it was refunded and I didn't need to return neither.

Welded the crack and was surprised that it actually worked quite well.

Not as fast and effective as in the commercials but good enough on mild steel tubes. Faster than a file and more even than flap disc.

Deburred about 40 pcs of 20mm pipes and still sharp.

This pitched up the other day, used it earlier to find something in the garage. Its chuffing bright! And was getting quite warm! I'm impressed.

Unfortunately, if I gut the existing binnacle to fit it, I lose the fuel gauge, which is invaluable.

Yep, wont be many revs going on if you run out of fuel.

Nah I like the size of it , it's on wheels and easy enough to move about , the drawers are fairly deep and will hold 3 or 4 115mm grinders plus it's nice and shiny

Ordered this chainsaw chain sharpener a few days ago after killing the new chain on some embedded barbed wire (GRRRR....), it arrived today and after about 5 minutes filing - 3 strokes per tooth - the chain cuts better than new!
I went for the cheap Chinese copy off eBay, £11 delivered - instead of the proper Stihl tool at £30 so I'm very happy with it.

I use the genuine one personally but only as I got it cheap at our local suppliers. Best thing for sharpening chains in my opinion

Got to be very quick with a flat and round file by hand. Lots of practice when i was in the trade

Slap a 10 mm mild steel sheet on the top & give an overhang of 60 mm to one side & the front , so you can cut a 10 mm slot for mounting a vice on a drop in " T " bracket that can be lock/bolted in place & easily / quickly removed if needed .

The thing with these (and I use my saw probably 3 times a week on average) is they do the flat file for you at the exact rate, also much more comfortable to hold for speed

Yeap Horsley tip indeed. Really can't get my head round why re-use of stuff is discouraged. Surely it's better than recycling in terms of energy use etc. Whatever happened to "reduce, reuse, recycle, in that order"?

It's to do with the council being held to account for Public liability for injuries to a member of the public from using something technically owned by the local authority , not as many seem think to make a profit or to be niggardly .

I can easily get a KUS fuel gauge, but there's the hassle of matching the existing sender and perhaps even more hassle if the existing sender breaks anyway, as it's bloody old and really done a load of miles so it's probably ready to peg out, which would mean getting a KUS sender to fit, somehow. Not impossible, so I got to thinking...

£80 for the pair, both brand new. A local engineering shop has changed owner and is getting rid of stock he doesn't want as he is focussing on fasteners, drills, taps and some hand tools now. Could probably have got them a bit cheaper as he took my first offer which surprised me slightly given the normal retail price of them.
