Multi fuel burner for the workshop, £50 as a mate at work was having a new one put in so I got dibs on this. Needs a new grate and some new fire brick but very tidy otherwise.

Yesterdays injury was the ends of the 2 leg bones banning together as there is little cartridge left in the knee to avoid the impact.
I have only seen the xrays not the ct scan results yet but from the top surface of the bone i now a dent and crack in a downwards direction.
they are planning on drilling into the bone so they can knock the dent back out to get a good profile, then filling the void with mesh to encourage bone to grow and what almost sounded like wrapping a jubilee clip around the top of the bone to stop the split opening and continuing down along its length.
I didn't realise i had broken it a first took me half hour do the last 5 mins of a normal 12 min journey.

Hope you recover soon.

They just arrived at my local Lidl. Nice unit for the price. Noticed the "Achtung" under the stand, so am more confident the quality is going to be better than those from the far east.

I would love to but i have work up to my eyeballs, i just want to know how long i will be out of action for, cant put any weight on it at the moment and can not bent it witch is the biggest problem. They have said as soon as they operate i can start bending it. I had the first injury in Jan five years ago, i have only just got back up to speed and build the business back up, still got lots to sort out in the new workshop.
Last time with all the complications i was out for about 6 months.
I was just about to order 4 grands worth of new machine today just glad i didn't phone the rep and order yesterday afternoon.

I am still on one crotch, nearly 3 months after my fall.

But I am lucky I have a good doc and good after care team. I made myself a brace and used it with what the hospital gave me to get around.

You will be surprized how quick you adapt and find ways to do old things anew.

A while ago I got my self a Record Pipe stand. I lent it to MIS and found out it was damaged. So I took it home.

Minus the vice, odd that. It was a small Record vice.

Stripped of paint and redone in Blue smooth Hamerite
The wooden base is wood salvaged from an old church pew, cut into 3" stripes, a routed bead and fitted.

The frame they sit on was heavily repaired by welding in patches and dressing back.

The vice on top is a vice I acquired, it was the tatty Boom Vice. I mounted it on 30mm oak and bolted it to the repaired vice plate.

I had to fill in 10 additional holes, stick welded the holes.

The replacement pipe vice is again on 30mm oak.
Both can be swopped over quickly by unbolting 3 x M10 nuts.

Got that last Saturday.
As posted here.

No manufacture name, no details and clearly no box.

But.
I found out it is, or as near to be a Screwfix version.
With that in mind I E mailed Screwfix and today I got a reply. Snail mail.
In it was a copy of the instructions, free of charge.
It is complete, just lacking a box.

Just dug this out and fitted fresh batteries.
Illuminated crutch saves trying to balance while battling to free you arm to turn light switches on at night and makes it easier to see if you have to go outside in the dark. Didn't think i would be needing it again this soon. Made this last time.

Led strip fitted with a push switch and some aa battery packs.

Mini Me face was a classic "OMG" as I shot her with the nerf dart.

Yet another table saw, a bit bigger than the one from last week, this is a Wadkin AGS12 last week's was an AGS 10 and in better nick, with a foot emergency pedal and dust collection/extraction port.

Just needs a crown guard.

I'll be selling the AGS 10, I have a single phase motor for it and an NVR switch, just need a 24mm shaft double pulley. I'll convert it when I get time.

Sometime last year I acquired the battery on the left along with several other batteries. No use to me as I had no charger or tool to use it but I kept it anyway!

Last week I acquired the drill body, a bosch 24v sds, no idea if it worked.

Last night I acquired the drill & charger on the right.

Put them all together tonight & I've acquired a Bosch 24v sds drill & charger working perfectly plus 2 working batteries that still hold some charge.

Batteries will need some refurbishment but one managed 2 x 18mm holes through a 6" concrete block so it will be fine for small holes as it is.

I have a similar one but is an Hitachi DH 36 DAL
Got it for free ,my friend gave me it because he works in an assistance ,he repair tools and the one he cannot repair becomes mine ,simple

A Burnerd three jaw for my Graduate lathe, and the plaque too. The chuck came with both sets of jaws, and the key. Got them off G&M, not cheap but spares for these machines are getting hard to find now.

I still have one of those Bosch 24V SDS drills it only got retired when I changed the 14V drill driver to 18V LiMH and got the 18V SDS in the same kit. Nice old SDS, a bit heaver than the 18V, when new I used to be able to use it constantly until both batteries were flat then had the long wait for the first battery to be re charged. The drill never gave up, it was the chargers that died with that kind of constant use.
