Scored another item today. Noticed today sat next to the family across the roads bin was a 3d printer. Asked if I could rescue it which they said I was welcome to have it but it's not working so they were going to take it to the tip.
Well within 10 minutes I had it fired up and working and error warning gone.
It's micro SD card has various pre designed items on it but does anyone have a copy of any software suitable for designing items to print on one they could send me. I used to have various cad program but they have all ran out of date now unfortunately.

Just used my Gedore Rahsol in those days, it's chunky and compact at the same time but I think to love it.Finally found a Britool torque multiplier to fit my lemonade budget. No more scaffy pole extensions for me.
I've took it at my workplace to save my back cause we had to bore main bearing journals on a 30 litres Caterpillar engine.
Caps need to be torqued at 750Nm Wich is pretty unpractical by hand even if my torque wrench is capable of that no one can reach those values easily.
So 5:1 gear ratio and 4.8:1 torque ratio a shy 154Nm at the end my Gedore Rahsol Dremometer and click.
Torqued to spec.
Older colleague wasn't sure about and asked me to set the torque wrench at 750Nm so I did we managed to make it click but we need 8 hands to do that, while I torqued them all alone without any effort

Freecad is one I'm planning on trying. Online download. Tried Blender, but that currently confuses the hell out of me.

Went to the tip today, and intercepted a guy who was about to launch this.
You will never get that working, he said. The lead has been cut off, but there are no signs that any of the screws have been touched. The flanges and shaft are a bit rusty though ???

Taken apart, cleaned out what looks like plaster or cement dust from the armature and brush boxes with the pressure washer, dried with airline.
Found the armature and stator (dont know the correct names) surfaces were a bit rusty, and binding slightly, so gave them a clean up with abrasive paper. Cleaned the copper segments and reassembled. turns over smoothly now.
As said, the lead had been cut off at the strain relief doodah, so just though I would test the old bit of cable for continuity before replacing the whole thing with an old one rescued from a dead appliance, complete with moulded on plug.
No continuity on the neutral cable ! Probably why it was dumped. I have found that the cores breaking at the strain relief sleeve through movement, is usually the main failure point of power tools.
Anyway, replacement fitted, and the grinder works a treat. I saw it was a Metabo, so on the recommendation of several on here, bothered to pick it up.

Yes, my die grinder is currently suffering from the lead (insulation only, for now) breaking up around the end of the strain relief, and I've replaced the cable on the Dremel-a-like for the same reason. I'm working up to doing it on the die grinder, but it's soldered internally rather than screwed, so a bit more of a fiddle. And from time to time it runs really roughly, so there might be a bearing problem, and it might be false economy. It's used with a carbide burr for grinding down MIG welds, and I think the vibration has caused issues. Sometimes there's enough for the burr to start working it's way out of the collet, despite being fully tightened.
Yep, nearly ditched our toaster a year back. Found the live core broken under the strain "relief" !!
