A boot full of gravel. Granted, in my car that isn't actually all that much gravel, but it's probably enough. Originally there was a strip of gravel alongside the house, at the bottom of the wall, and it's been paved over because the gravel used to get in the lawnmower, and I thought I'd re-instate it if I can get the concrete and paving up.

As I was going past screwfix, stopped to get a rake. The boss currently has a cheap metal one that digs into grass and is pretty useless at shifting tree cuttings, the cleanup takes twice as long as a result.

Brushless Grinder , charger and batteries , all been under water in a boat that sunk, all stripped and dying out on my bench now, the charger might work again, who knows , batteries are toast but might have salvageable cells or use as a basis for an adaptor to another battery brand. Worst case scenario is i break it for parts , still a winner.

Anyways current state, I've replaced everything I had on my ICS I'll get more in specific in the stuff you have made today thread
I've spent the entire day working on it just to make the gears mesh together properly with no plays or bindings.
It's a very tedious process but kinda satisfying too

Another boot full of gravel (from the same source) and some metal shelves destined for the shed, probably. Typical IKEA - trying to take them to pieces on the side of the road to get them in the car, everything just snaps together except the brace across the back, which needs an allen key. Fortunately it's only thin metal, so it was easy to just bend it to go on the passenger seat.

A Makita HP001G combi drill, which appears to be one of the most powerful/hightest torque, with same spec as their earth auger drill, 140nm (although I seriously doubt something this small is upto that sort of usage)
It will be interesting to compare to the Fakita 18v, which appears to be powerful but awful runout.
Edit: edit, user error, chuck is fine
edit, very impressed how quick it put a 10mm lidl bit through inch thick steel. Did not slow down at all, thick curly chips. My only complaint there is the long handle a bit usless for getting enough pressure, whilst pressing on the back of the drill, is the vent area. It could use an extended hand area with vent cutouts.
Last edit I promise. How does it do with a large step bit, 10mm bore, drilling both 15mm and 20mm together. Quite bloody well. Has the power for it, perhaps gearbox will be the weak point.
The fakita cant spin the bit with any cutting pressure.
