I ‘ve had a similar experience only to find out most of the cash was out of date currency£274 in loose change beside my bed

I had 2x old pound coins. And some usa, and euros but mostly good. My cooking scales are not reliable at all after I counted it out manually and bagged it was more like £230 but still ill take that - free money. (Well you know what I mean!)
I like to use cash in shops as much as possible. Using cards or apps all the time wouldn't have resulted in an extra tool fund.

Sister rudely awoke me at the crack of noon today (actually 830am 
) to visit our local "Arnold Laver" so she could buy a sheet of MDF.
Whilst I was there, I browsed the "clearance" area (as one does).
"internal doors, seconds - £5 each".
There's a stack of them, still wrapped, a few minor marks.
So I thinks: nail em together with a beam top and bottom, and they'd make a good internal framework for my new shed.
So I bought 24 of them, to make a 16ftx16ft shed.
Went back down with the trailer, and grabbed the first one to load it - it wouldn't move.
They were solid Fire doors, each weighing about a cwt.
So I bought all 40 they had piled up.
Three trips with the trailer, and nearly killed myself getting them to the bottom of the garden
Every so often, I just drop on something so perfect, and so cheap, it feels like I won the lottery.
I'll even have enough left over to build no.1son a shed, and make some workbench tops.

Fire doors do make really excellent Work Bench Tops!

Clearing out my late brother's house I found over five kilos of euro coins. A Web search found a place that would take coins. Poorish exchange rate, but what could I do with them? I always come back fom abroad with plenty of shrapnel.
Banks will swap old coins for new, if you have enough for a coin bag, not mixed though.
Old notes are no problem.

I've just been to the local tip to get rid of some broken glass that I forgot to take with me last week when I did the same trip. Just in front of me, a guy was about to throw this into the recycling, so I helped him throw it into my car instead.
A bit of rust on the far end, but otherwise fine. I've nowhere to put it, of course, and was hoping to gradually reduce the amount of stuff I have, but hey, I've helped the planet by recycling.

For a bit more wood bothering a track square for use with the Milwaukee Track Saw. Calibration certified to 0.0122 degrees so should have no excuse for not having square cuts now
Bought it as kit with the repeat stop rails for accurate repeat cuts.
Next on the list is an MFT bench, not sure yet if it will be bought ready made from Benchdog or make my own. It will need to be portable and I don’t tend to make things lightweight so we will see.
