I have some Wirefy crimpers, & they've been excellent on every crimp I've done. Weren't cheap, but they're worth every penny, IMHO.

About a decade ago when I was only just starting to get into working on cars seriously I remember asking a mate what the point of long ratchets was, when breaker bars were a thing...
It's only taken 5 years from first realising the potential utility of one, to actually getting one.
Not sure if I should have got the 600 rather than the 450 though.

Bigger isn't always better. You stand more chance of being able to use that in more confined spaces.

This is the one I ordered.
And this is the 600mm version from sealey I considered instead.
I only chose the slightly shorter one as it can fit in my shadow-foam toolboxes, whilst 600mm wouldn't.
I realised I wanted one when I was using a massive Britool ¾" ratchet with an adapter to undo something that would be impossible with a standard length ratchet, or a breaker bar, and couldn't be reached with an impact.

I'm certainly no expert, but from my own experience, my crimp connector (terminal) preferences are:
- Tinned copper of appropriate thickness.
- Brazed seams, preferably silver brazed (or seamless, or butted seam with brass sleeve).
- Internally ribbed for extra grip.
- Appropriate set of approvals and certifications.
- If insulated, I prefer nylon. If uninsulated, I sometimes apply heat-shrink tubing.
- Correct crimper and crimping dies, with adjustable pressure or stops.
- Nickel-plated steel terminals may be appropriate for some high-temperature applications.

Depends, there's some tasks that I would do with this where my mate would prefer a stubby or palm ratchet... But his forearms are skinnier than mine.
It's kinda what it is, I won't be able to apply quite as much force, but I will also be able to get in more places. I can definitely see why some professional mechanics end up with multiple lengths of long ratchets.
With this one being 72T it translates into a quite a long arc segment at the far end already, I would probably want a 90t or 120t for anything longer than this...
Like the 120T Laser Tools ¾ ratchet which extends to 1.2m with a series of clip-on handles (for people who are too professional to use a length of scaff pole slipped over their ratchet).

Shame I wasn't allowed to put any on here that I didn't want.
Not sure what I'll do with it as it's 3phase and I jave no inverter furniture or anything. But these could be useful.

Slip a close fitting tube over the ratchet and learn that sometimes you can split the ratchet body trying to undo very high tensile steel stuck bolts

I haven't broken a ratchet yet but I've done that plenty of times. Turns out a P38 steering bar is very thick wall and a perfect fit over a Halfords ratchet. Also got a twist in the end so you can angle it the right way.
I know the limits though, hence why I wanted something better suited to the purpose. The radius/trailing arm bushes on the Land Rover need to be done up to lots of ugga duggas but the big impact won't fit in there. A normal breaker bar if the vehicle isn't a few feet off the ground flexes too much to rotate by 60° to be able to adjust the socket.

Breaker bar first.
With a bit of scaff over the end
If you take the socket off the breaker bar and rotate it 90° each time you run out of travel, you get 30° resolution from a single hex socket. It's admittedly a hell of a faff though.
I can see why you'd want a long ratchet...
