Not tried them or the crimps yet Pete, its just a cheap set to throw in the truck. How are you finding the metal part of those crimp connectors? The last ones I bought from amazon I have to crimp with the next size down crimps or they sometimes don't grip the wire enough. Compared to some older crimp connectors I have they are very thin.
Did you find the keys?Yesterday I lost my keys
Today I had to buy a Borescope to check they hadn’t fallen down the front of the Disco radiator (One of the places I was working yesterday)

our lass says thatThey'll be at last place you had them .........![]()
probably not in this case- they will be exactly where they fell out of my sweatshirt pocket- which could be any time after I thought I needed to take them out of that pocket because things fall out of it - but I was too busy just doing something important that could have waited two minutes…They'll be at last place you had them .........![]()
My bloody expensive bluepoint crimpers are like that, nearly always have to drop a size to get a good crimp.
You can always do a little with a lot, but not a lot with a little.View attachment 490425
About a decade ago when I was only just starting to get into working on cars seriously I remember asking a mate what the point of long ratchets was, when breaker bars were a thing...
It's only taken 5 years from first realising the potential utility of one, to actually getting one.
Not sure if I should have got the 600 rather than the 450 though.

Do you have a link? I've always been tempted by one but never found a decent length one when I've briefly looked.View attachment 490425

This is the one I ordered.Do you have a link? I've always been tempted by one but never found a decent length one when I've briefly looked.
I'm certainly no expert, but from my own experience, my crimp connector (terminal) preferences are:How are you finding the metal part of those crimp connectors? Depends, there's some tasks that I would do with this where my mate would prefer a stubby or palm ratchet... But his forearms are skinnier than mine. You can always do a little with a lot, but not a lot with a little.
(Said the actress to the Bishop)
It's kinda what it is, I won't be able to apply quite as much force, but I will also be able to get in more places. I can definitely see why some professional mechanics end up with multiple lengths of long ratchets.Bigger isn't always better. You stand more chance of being able to use that in more confined spaces.
Great haulAnd a few more bits.
Now some.of this lot is good
