A 3D scanner fell into my basket while browsing on the sofa with the dogs this morning. In my defence I've been ill with almost fatal man flu for the last few days so this is to cheer me up

It's a creality ferret pro, last time I looked, half decent scanners were serious money, this doesn't seem bad for the money. Ended up being 280 quid with a code on Creality's Ebay store.

I've got the CR-Scan Lizard that I bought in a fit of enthusiasm a while ago. It was fun to play with and I scanned a few things with it, but never really found anything I needed it for so it's been in the corner waiting to be put up for sale for quite a while now.

I found a pair of rails for my saw on eBay, they're made by Tritan and my saw is Erbauer but they seem to be exactly the same.
You can't seem to buy Erbauer ones separately from the saws
I can now slim down a couple of doors more easily.

Regret getting rid of my last one, but this one has a load of money spent on it recently by a genuinely lovely bloke. Treating to an electric winch aswell.
May rent it out to those local to Bedford from the forum.

Can anyone recommend or known the grade of steel, used for wood chipper blades???

I imagine O1 tool steel would be a good choice.

From memory... Like you say, the individual parts seemed ok, but I could not get the belt to run true enough for me, it's adjusted with the red knob but its all a bit micky mouse, add that to the setup faff of mounting a grinder to it then securing it all, I gave up on it pretty quick, yours looks the same to the one I had. the mini 250w belt sander relegated it to the metal parts bin. Hope yours works out better

Found it quite easy to set up, one bolt for the grinder, one dog clamp to the bench, and 20 seconds adjusting the knob. It works far better than I imagined but I believe the included belts are rubbish, will need to get some proper ones.

It gives my rubbish underpowered parkside grinder something it can do and be useful for.

I also gave it a little test as a handheld. A few modifications would turn it into a tube polisher - or starting with a polisher, a few changes make it one of these...

Suggestions for belts please, zirconia type are best? Size is 50mm x 528m or 2x21"

and unlike sykes they are metric so you can use metric studding and normal nuts!

It looks pretty much unused, with it's box and the manual unopened... Couldn't be more different to the previous impact I received.

Also it's bloody tiny, and will definitely fit some places I wouldn't previously have got an impact in.

It is an ongoing bugbear of mine that there's not quite enough space to get a full sized car trailer down my track.

Noooo.

Having a car transporter trailer is an exercise in learning people don't know how to tow one, load one, secure ramps back to one for driving, how to tension, release or otherwise use ratchet straps, have no idea about jockey wheels and raising it, keeping the safety cable away from the ground, not reversing it into solid things and being surprised the lights seem to now have no lenses, forget to release the brake, forget to apply the brake . . . all this from an experienced trailer owning and owing mate . . .

My trailer seems to be in constant state of disrepair these days whenever anyone wants to borrow one . . .

Mmmmmmm yes. I sold my plant trailer for the reasons you quote. Now when I get asked can I borrow your digger the answer is yes sure if you've a trailer to move it on and a car to pull it. Rarely does it leave here now.

Seeing the pull cord handles reminded me to show a photo of the recommended knot for those that don't know which knot to use for the cord at the handle , they rarely come undone and usually fit in the handles nice & snug too .
