Don’t fall for the Machinery’s Handbook Companion for a lot cheaper. I bought one off a guy who glossed over the companion bitGet a slightly older copy and they're not too expensive - e.g. there's a 25th edition on ebay for £38 at the moment. Machinery doesn't change that much that a 5 or even 20 year old edition isn't useful. Or get the Machinery & Metal Trades Handbook, which has most (but not all) of the metric stuff in the Machinery's Handbook without all the american nonsense.
Luckily he did returns.
