A nice little Honda mower. Apparently it wouldn't start again once it was warm. That may have been down to an air filter that seemed to be made of mud, and that may have been aggrivated by 'somebody' taking the starter apart and not putting it back together properly. All sorted now, and may well be off to a new foster home in the morning.

Today, I received a completely unexpected package. Having heard that I've not been in the best of health, a BMW Dealership waaay down South from which I order [forum] discounted parts for repair/service items for the e60 sent me this, with a nice hand-written note from all the Team, wishing me well for the future.
A VERY nice gesture, especially since it's not as if I've ever bought a car from them, or spent £000's over the years on parts & servicing with them. Left me with a warm feeling.

As well as being aluminium, they're the perfect size and shape to make into new overhanging load marker boards for my wagon. My old one is hanging on for dear life having been repaired and repainted numerous times, but it's done me proud over the last 15 years so will be retired with honours as soon as the new ones are in action.

Walking back from getting fresh croissants this morning, the builders yard skip had this in it.
Plugged it in and it heated up, but had a nasty death rattle.
My first thought it has been repaired in the past, but no, that is how B&D made it.
Choc block and no cable clamp.

But I did find the death rattle.
A random screw.
The fan motor should have 2, it has. This one is too big to fit anyway.
There are no other screws inside.
But removal of it made this dead hot air gun fully working.
Plugged it in and it heated up, but had a nasty death rattle.

If you click the link, you will see the "choc block" in the drawing. Plus the Tamper seal was in place, so I know it has not been taken to bits in it's life.

Yesterday but saved me from buying a new extension ladder and roof rack.
Was looking online for a set of these (surveyors ladders) when a set half an hour up the road popped up on marketplace for 25quid. They're nearly £200 new.
A good wash, drilled and dug out the old rotten wooden tops and a car jack to bend a section straight again and all I need to do now is remove and clean up the wing nuts. Happy days.

i have one of these
used to belong to my mum and has been on many rounds stripping paint and what not.im genuinly suprised it still works
