I made a slightly tidier globe mounting solution for the top of an old forecourt pump.

22ER/IR 4.0TR inserts. Long m4 insert screws and m5 spiral taps.

Need to make a holder for the 22ER, and the 22IR is too big for the 12mm hole, so will be sliced into 3 peices and brazed onto a bar.

This for $80 - a J.Sagar mitre trimmer, on its stand which is quite rare. Some Sagar machines became Wadkin re-badge jobs when the company was taken over - it’s a lovely piece of equipment, sturdy and well made.

They are.
Blades are tough and keep an edge.

Just don't try to trim to much. They are designed to shave of a thin amount at each pass.

Yeah it’s already getting a good rub down - someone has daubed red oxide all over it at some point, intention appears unclear. I’ve since wire brushed the table down. It’s nice to see these graduations re-emerge!

When you are done.
Fill them with coloured wax.
That is the traditional way to fill them.
I used red for the lines and blue for the angles.
