No tailstock fitting ?
Quite pleased with today's little haul
Vertex 6" rotary table with dividing plates and handle, no sector arms or other fiddly bits. Brand new but shop-soiled - £50

It just so happens that I have the correct tail stock for this, also new and shop-soiled, that I got in a box of assorted bits and pieces from @spencer 427
Next up a load of parallels, a couple of sine bars, some dowel pins, a 10x jeweller's loupe, a Chesterman 6" ruler, and a couple of unusual collet sets with holders. They seem to have a universal drive ball end. The collets are marked in sizes which are all calibre sizes to my way of thinking: 0.177/0.205/0.238
Also £50 from The Tool Shop in Wallington

The rust is surface and not as bad as it appears in the photo apart from the one at the top. But it'll clean up.
The ball end would fit into a tail piece fitting that has a crossbar to prevent it rotating but allow it to wobble, similar to a "wiggler" type centre finder used on a mill or drill press.
Eye watering as in it hit you in the wallet hard?
my brother bought one new for 40 quid and sold it for the same priceBought for my brother for his birthday.
I am sure I will get to play.
Cost more than my Colchester Triumph
Lovely and smooth but tripped our RCD. Apparently quite common.

Any interest in selling one of the sine bars?
I'm sure I could be persuaded to let one go. After all, how many can you use at a time? OK, two maybe, but I'm not likely to ever be in that position.
I'll have a good look at them tomorrow and PM you.
my brother bought one new for 40 quid and sold it for the same pricelook what they are fetching now

My first and second year maths modules were based on that, never read it mind.I've decided to get the gray matter moving... typically i get the second book delivered before the first book but I've enough to keep me going for a couple of days while waiting for book one (and a few others along the same line)
It’s a good book. Got the fifth ed on my shelf:My first and second year maths modules were based on that, never read it mind.![]()
