The one inch bore and bolt in mandrel are a nice sliding fit and it gives me a run out of 0.02mm measured just inside the saw teeth so as an exercise in turning and milling on the old Drummond M I am well pleased.

You are going some to put that one on me, or you are psychic...
I have a shell mill and was contemplating buying an arbour for it as I figured it would take more abuse than the slitting saw arbour so a proper hardened one would be better.
I am kind of holding back because I am not 100% convinced that a small lathe will be comfortable with it.
I can't remember what it was but did you not acquire a mill recently?

Yes, a little Warco mill, and I thought it might be worth trying out the face end mill cutter on it. Even if the finish isn’t good using the cheap cutter, if it shifts material, I’m happy.

Unfortunately it's being discussed time ago that snap on batteries are not interchangeable with Metabo probably because marketing reasons
Metabo makes batteries for various other tools makes which join the Cas aka cordless alliance system
When you see the name CAS on a battery you know that it's compatible with every single 18V metabo, Rotemberger etc
In This case the tool is surely a WF18-125ltx produced by metabo but not compatible with Metabo batteries

That snap on puller once belonged to a wall mounted workshop set and contained other legs and slide hammer bars etc...i had one at least 30 years ago

The dewalt 54v one isn’t bad either. Still would rather have my flat head snap on (metabo) though.
