If you're not doing big things just get the bambu a1 mini, it's stupidly cheap, fast, small and basically plug and play perfectly for quickly printing little things for in the workshop. Certainly quicker than physically making a part from wood/metal if you need a specific size for a spacer.I'm going to have to block this thread before I get fully convinced I need a 3d printer!![]()
Fusion 360 is free for personal use, openSCAD is very popular for those parametric models you can download and change to what size you need and then there's onshape and freeCADBeing a cheapskate, I use RS DesignSpark to design stuff. It's free.
