Guess what arrived today.

& just over two month later, it's finally out of the box. I'll never be accused of rushing things.



I've added an extension to my workbench, to act as a bench for it.

Nope, I haven't either. Then again I think my 3d printer predates benchy...

I'm liking this new printer. Also their app. Being able to browse files on their site through the app, & being able to send them straight to the printer from the app, is awesome. Plus, having the camera in there, you can check it's doing what you expect. I'm loving it.

Currently got it printing a little waste basket for the chute at the rear of the printer.

It's amazing how much 3D printers have advanced over the last few year.

Any good for a first dip of yer toes into the 3D printing shenanigans? Not too bothered about high-resolution, more for making cases for things like effects pedals or random circuitry that needs a home.

You will find that my K1 in the for sale section to be a good tool for that, it just works out of the box.

They're OK, but do need a little bit fettling occasionally, but I had them to the point where I could send files to them via OctoPrint and get decent prints.
Certainly the quality wasn't quite on the level of my Bambu, but it was more than good enough for what I print to sell.

Full setup is a stock Ender 3 (think they're the original version, maybe the V2...), MicroSwiss direct drive extruders, BL-Touch touch probes, BigTreeTech ender specific control boards with the BTT Ender touchscreen, and magnetic textured PEI print plates (I might even have a smooth plate as well - it's been a while since I've actually used them!)
