Tested the grenade launcher in my land on this morning.
Used this 3D printed barrel in conjunction with a 40Wad airsoft airsoft shell and TAGINN rounds.
Used a dummy round at first to kinda understand the trajectory and potential range of the thing...
On the website they said this barrel/shell combination would roughly reach 50 Yards range...
They should at least double that number cause I'm more than sure I've send the round at over 100 meters down range (indeed I've lost it ).
Loaded another one at a target at roughly 30 meters and it bounced back to the shooting position.
The thing traveled hit and bounced back, so it made a 60 meters trip .
I've then tried a pyrotechnic round, hit the target and went off shortly after (and it's right that works like that) cause the explosion was so hard that it scared the hell out of me even knowing it was going off .
Conclusion
The real TAGINN Launchers shouldn't be allowed anywhere.
Cause they use 40mm longer barrels and higher pressure loading charges such as CO2 and HPA.
Rounds and kinda borderline
A 30 gramms 36mm high density foam projectile flying fast enough to reach 200 meters (using the genuine launcher) is going to hurt someone if shoot point blank or at close range, I'm pretty sure it might be used for personal defense if you hit someone in the center of mass it's going to neutralize or temporarily disable a grown man.
Pyrotechnic rounds aren't safe IMHO, too loud and in addition to what said up above they can cause injuries and deafening someone
Even though they're are tested and considered airsoft safe, I know what I've seen today .
Neighbors were not happy about and I have another one wich I'll be disposing it on new year eve.
I'm most likely not going to buy any other pyrotechnic rounds.
I may try chalk pouder rounds case they don't bounce or explode, just kinetic energy transfer that spray chalk around due to the projectile being crashed.
My barrel design is 85mm in length but once you remove the chamber length, the barrel length goes down to 30 or 40mm in total.
Genuine TAGINN Launchers have roughly 60 or 70mm usable barrel length.
Made mine shorter to make it easier to load unload on a M203 grenade launcher.
Those "toys" should be used for milsim events only IMHO
They are cool and very realistic, they give sense to 40mm grenades to exist in airsoft but are seriously a safety concern.

The 85 shore polyurethane arrived this evening, was supposed to be Tuesday but not complaining
Gave it a go, first one was a disaster, not sure whether I didn't leave it long enough or whether I didn't mix it well enough but had another go.
This time it came out ok but it seems to be cracking too easily so maybe just too hard or maybe I have to leave it longer, it says demould in 1hr but full cure is 1 week.
Decided to try the 20 shore with the black dye and it worked well, I may see how that performs but I would like it slightly more tough/less flexible so might end up trying some 30 or 40 shore.
Anyway a pic of both, you can easily see the difference.

I had considered that but they are different makes and I have seen warnings about doing so. That may just be scare mongering so you buy the same type or it may be true, who knows but I will likely give it a try.
I have just poured another 80 shore one and will leave it overnight before demoulding to see if it makes a difference.

Just demoulded the 85 shore one I poured last night and it has come out a lot better. It is tough but flexing without cracking.

I managed to pull it over the 16mm ball, it was tough to do but didn't crack.
It seems to be working great so far, not squishing out when I clamp the flange but I think maybe a 50 shore might be a better compromise.
