Here you go, seemingly it was caused due to when hardening the glass it has a slight bow to it and if when they laminate it they don't have the bow of the two sheets the same way then it causes stress and will often just explode, all I know is it was loud and I nearly crapped myself, I would have if I was closer

It looks very nice but you will likely regret it, especially if there are kids/pets around as it will be impossible to keep clean!

We recently got a new pod shower fitted. They liked the look of the clear glass panel unit, I was against it but they bought it anyway. 2 months down the line they are really regretting it, you can see every water or soap stain & it always looks grubby, even with regular cleaning!

It is hardened so will break into small rounded pieces like an old fashioned windscreen did.

A lot of high rise building glass isn't hardened like this. The last thing you want, with floor to ceiling windows, 30 floors up, is the tip of someone's umbrella causing it to disintegrate leaving a damn great hole.

The tend to just crack against impact. Gives you time to apply a safety film.

Failure through nickel sulphide inclusion can still be pretty spectacular mind.

Yeah its worked perfectly tho I glued it in as a permenent adaptor rather than removable.

Guy up the road bought this down just before we went to America,just got round to it. It's off his garden chairs and is badly bent except you can't see it because I forgot to take a picture and did a rush job on the way to his house. It's bent in the plane you are looking at.

I made two replacements in 304 for him.

This was the payment

Happy with that.

Like a stuck record. More bench stuff.

Lining up drawer runners. The outer ones are the easy ones. Lots of reference points to work from. There's less to measure from in the middle.

Got there in the end with the middle pair. This pic was work in progress. I still wasn't happy and adjusted it again the next evening.

Drawer runners removed. Shoddy brush painting in the cold with Ronseal Direct to Metal Paint. Supposed to be Storm Grey, Looks more like RAF uniform blue when it goes on.

I can't do the drawers until the painting is done. Saw dust and paint is a bad combo.

This is the real reason for making this post. This evening I finally made the most of the table, using clamps to hold another bench top square and in place. It's made my work so much more efficient, enjoyable and accurate at the same time. Got it done in half the time. Loving this table and the drawers. Diagonals were spot on. Lovely and square with little effort. Still being gormless though. Set up at the furthest corner away from the welder.

This third one has been sized for the offcuts of plyboard that's left from the original table. I have two, 4 foot by 3 foot offcuts. The benchtop frame is 44" long to leave some overhang at the ends. I don't need the 3 foot depth, so the smaller dimension will be getting trimmed.

Being dozy, far too close. Tunnel vision again. I used MIG to ensure the gaps on the diagonals would get filled without too much trouble. I fancy maybe using the TIG on the remaining joints to get some practice in.

A bracket to mount a diesel heater on my outside garage wall under an existing cover that was a wood store.
Very rough and ready ... and sharp as I found out when I managed to headbutt the corner of it whilst installing it. I gave up shortly after that
I will neaten it all up once I know it fits.

That's an example of why to always round off corners on anything you can walk into or headbutt. A simple thing which, although it may not avoid the pain factor, helps avoid unnecessary gouges/cuts.

What is the exhaust muffler thing attached to, watch out, they get stupid hot.

I always make stand off brackets, and the cheap insulation provided is crap.
