Are those re-filling adaptors available commercially, or did you make it?

A slitting disc (abrasive type) will cut through hard steel easier than any toothed blade/disc method in my experience.

I bought it from ebay HERE is the style I bought but there are plenty others. I had to put an O ring in the top of the canister. @brightspark pointed me in the right direction.

Ah - thanks, but my Rothenberger gas torch cylinders seem to take a much larger thread than 1/4 bsp.

Obviously there's more than one standard for these cylinders :dontknow:

Unless you've got some old bottles, the new ones aren't refillable.

See https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/382531290544 where it says 1" -20 UNEF and gives a CGA600 reference.

Put 'rothenberger cylinder adaptor' into Google. You can buy an adaptor with a BSP thread on the other end to use the torch straight off a propane bottle.

For refilling, one of these (https://www.protilertools.co.uk/pro...t-437a-adaptor-1in-propane---mapp---to-7-16in) to screw onto the bottle and depress the valve and then make a 7/16" UNEF female (eventually) to POL male.

A bit of a nonsense but a bead breaker for a pal of mine. Have one I made 30 odd years ago and they work well. He’s built an expedition truck so needs to be able to do it himself but also needs portability. It’s a silly thing, but may help someone on here out

And yes I know it’s on an alloy on my truck but I’m not walking down the yard just to take a photo against the right wheel

Hay at last, always stressful and hard work, a big deal for us as its a chunk of the months income so it needs to go well, a few baler issues but we go done

After sealing Mrs. Van to not getting liquid outside in it changed the game to inside out.
Seal for turbo oil supply disintegrated.
This means that I will have a lot of fun to getting it done.
Limited space is always available in these kind of stuff.
hate it.
But we are close to starting up to Denmark.

My CNC mill uses an unusual pull stud on it's CAT40 tooling, which is specific to Beaver CNC mills - (the manual mill studs are more conventional) for this reason I'm always short of pull studs and have to rob them off other tooling.

My CAT40 tightening fixture doesn't let me grasp the flange so I usually have to revert to soft jaws in the vice to unscrew the pull stud.

Today I decided to make a dedicated spanner - CNC Plasma cut from 6 MM plate - two off welded together to get the thickness.

An added incentive is that there is a bloke on eBay with some (obviously ex Beaver) CAT40 tooling that he is prepared to sell the studs from but can't unscrew them so I might have to make a special journey and 'do it on site - hence the spanner!

Made a tank from a tank, it is going to be a small hot salt tank. I had left this in a corner years ago and it saves trying to make a watertight weld. Hoping the plan works.
Anyhow, the look on my pals face when I asked him if he had checked if the tank was full after I had set the saw going was a picture :-)
