So went at the door again and got it done

started with this which was by no means secure

and moved onto this

ending up with this which I’m really happy with the finished product

bit of tidying of plaster I knocked out and a lock cover to go over the lock(not in pictures) but it’s far more secure and it looks 100 times better

So today woke up early , breakfast and started writing my memories, how I'm living the lockdown the various aspects of the new life .
Went to visit my neighbor and borrowed him some spanners he needs tomorrow .
My mom made a cake ,we cleaned up home little bit .
Lunch I cook myself some pasta with tomato sauce and spek (like bacon but not bacon)
In the afternoon I read all my chats and contents here to remember what I've done since March 9th
I regret I didn't started writing earlier .
Then little bit of TV and dinner, watched the latest Andrew Camarata video .
Half acquired another engine driven welder
400A 16kW but it has a little issue ,the engine is missing someone took it out and never refitted in place .
Anyway I'll probably get the engine driven for free so who cares
Ps we found a vaccine who works and doesn't hurt but we have to wait till September at least
They will vaccinate doctors,medic, surgeons, firefighters and officers first and civilians second
That's would give us little bit of breath
Ps bis my uncles who live in Milano (Milan should be called Milano everywhere as Londra should be called London everywhere)
Anyway my uncles are positive to COVID19 , they said they are fine but I don't know how they really are

I've been making a Vedette boat engine into a half-decent daily driver in a Morris Minor. Glad the engine had been 'dipped' before the rebore. Boat engines seem to rust from the inside-out. This engine out to be a bit nippier than before. That carb elbow is a new casting from a guy in Luton that leaves the carb lower to clear the bonnet on a Sprite/Midget. Not bad!

it’s a box frame with 2mm sheeting Welded to the back instead of the front then treated timber held in with 4x40 strips drilled through and gutter bolted it’s simple but looks good while keeping the security of a full steel door

Looks good, have you had that Shorrock 75B in bits? more bearings than you can shake a stick in there :whistle:

Slightly different job on the plasma today, boltholes, wiring access and cut outs for led lights into 50mm box section.

Made some room in the shed. Found this right at the back, its probably been there 10 years. Fresh petrol in and it started third pull.

Made the wire tree a while ago, finally got round to making a base for it. Old bit of wood from my old man (used to be a clock but then it split) routed out a rough pool shape then placed some peach stones in and around the roots then poured a blue tinted resin for the water. I'll need to do some cleanup once the tape is removed, probably sand and polish to front but not bubbles which is nice.

And while I've been stuck inside I finally got round to trying some wire jewelry. First piece isn't brilliant but i'm happy enough with it for a first go. Sea glass inset.

Where do you buy your resin and tints from please?
