Making...by the power of Fakita and cheap step bits as I couldn't find my metal jigsaw blades...some 3mm galv plate:

There may even be WELDING (or at least a poor example of it).

3D printed bits being done at the mo.

Made last week and placed today.
Stainless handrail on the top of the whaleback.
Still need bolted properly and the front sections welded together as I made them offsite so the two halves were easier for transport and handling.

Luckily I put a tray under.
So any ideas for an improved version? Without a big investment in money or time of course.

Try one of the 3 inch wide necked 1.5 litre heavy plastic sports bottles ( I have one as and emergency car incontinence pee bottle ) Mine cost cost about £6 .
Drill the cap and put a long screw with penny washers either side of the plastic pack out with soft material like cork or rubber sheeting if needed and tighten up using a Nyloc nut then try it in the drill with your mixture .

if it works would you post up the exercise please.
I have a load of small rusty cheap AF & With worth spanners etc. I'd like to clean without getting any loose chrome plating under my finger nails

That looks pretty much as good if not better than my Chinese mediums breaker side handle arrangement .. Caution it may twist to one side after a few hours of hard use .....mine has .
I recommend you get it all your 3D printed parts as dense as you can so they will not collapse when tightened hard.

I had to guess the included angle of the handle.

I don't have that problem . I drink out of 300 ml easy seal water bottles or 300ml ring pull cans of of sugar free Kong ( LIDIL) as the sports bottle is four or so inches in diameter and 400 mm or so tall

Still waiting for the handle to print. The steel needs some tweaking & beating! Ran out of MAPP so was heating it as best as with propane in order to bend around the ali casing of the breaker:

Handle done. Some vice work to be done now and I need to epoxy that M10 nut in as it's a tad loose in the hex recess:

Done. Not pretty but appears functional and ergonomically correct. Such is my disarray here I couldn't even find an M10 locknut for the handle or flat round washers. Then I dropped one of the plastic nut/bolt head covers.

The forming of the 25x3 around the tool came out better than I thought, tbh though it's a tad stiff to turn and swivel around the tool. I had to open up the 10 mm holes to 12 where the tightening knob bolt goes through.

I was going to paint it but that can wait as I need to use it. I might paint it later in some "tough black" then heat shrink over the side bits.

I still haven't tried the Gumtree breaker itself yet I've just realised so this could all have been a pointless exercise!

Version two is a older plastic jar from pooltablets, a bit brittle and aged so don't expect this to last forever as well.
Used two bigger washers, but a 80mm or so disc would be better.
For now ok.

No pictures because I was in a hurry but.
I've left the engine mount alone at least for now.
But easily replaced the half shafts on my little Punto.
Everything started lifting the car
Removing the wheel covers and tightening the wheel bolts again.
With the car now standing again on its wheel, I've proceeded to straighten up the hub nut lips using a screwdriver and an hammer just enough to make them spin under the 3/4" impact torque.
So next step was taking the impact and with the appropriate size socket which I thought was a 36mm as everyone out there says that, but apparently it's just a 32mm nut.
Anyways removed the nuts, lifted the car up again and now it's standing on the jack stands and after putting everything on safety (pins on the jacks, wheels below the car, wooden blocks etc) it was time to remove the wheels.
After that I've disconnected the shocks from the hubs, tilted the hubs sideways hammered the CV joints out from the hub.
Removed the battery and battery housing to have access to the filling port on the gearbox.
Opened up both filling and discharge ports.
Once drained all the oil I've proceeded to slide off the axles from the gearbox.
On the driver side (left on the civilizated countries ) it wasn't that difficult as I've had enough space to hammer a screwdriver in between the tripoids housing and the gearbox itself and been able to remove it quickly enough despite the stronger elastic ring (shortest axle harder to held it in place due to steeper working angles).
So proceeded to replace the oil seal, obviously lubed everything prior to drive it in place.
Took the new axle and applied grease on the shaft to keep the elastic ring in place inserted into the gearbox by gently tapping it in with an hammer.
Put the hub back in after applying grease on the CV joint shaft and threads.
Reconnected the shock absorber.

While on the passenger side (right) things were not that easy.
I've managed to get the screwdriver in place to slide the tripoids shaft out after little bit of attempts here and there to get in the better spot.
But I've had to remove the exhaust to have access for removing the oil seal.
Done that I've replaced it up, and repeat the process for the left side but no hammer required due to the weaker snap ring.
Put back the exhaust and drain cap on the gearbox, filled up with 1.6 litres of 75-95 oil and out the filling port cap back on again.
Time for the wheels to get back on the car but just temporarily.
Dropped the car back on the floor
Torqued the axle nuts
Hammered the nut end to secure it in place
Torqued the wheels
Battery back on

Done
After that I've spent an hour to replace a bulb on the headlight
