Not happy with it yet so will water the turf and leave it out, to lay tomorrow. A slope makes it significantly more difficult to get right than flat ground!
Dont remind me. When I sprayed that last Nov it rained 7 or 8 hours later. Dry within 4 hours, the tin said, and you can see the result! Some hard work gone in there.
You going to creosote that fence first?![]()

No stain lasts forever
But we both know whose to blame
It's hard to paint a fence
In the cold November rain
but I'm not going anywhere near a hedge again without a new pair of secateurs because that was an absolute chore. Think I'll get a Felco No. 8
These electric secateurs need to be treated with the same amount of respect as a chainsaw!!
These are great on ivy, just watch your fingers, turn them off any time your moving around.
I'd suggest locate the ivy stems near ground level and chop it all out, leaving whatever was there before the ivy took over.
if you had of used a plastic sheet on the ground it would have saved you all that picking up afterwardsI made this Ivy hedge nearly six feet shorter, didn't get a good before picture unfortunately.

New loppers and off-brand Silky saw got a good workout, but I'm not going anywhere near a hedge again without a new pair of secateurs because that was an absolute chore. Think I'll get a Felco No. 8
I disagree, they need a lot more respect than a chainsaw. A chainsaw will cut you if you get it very wrong, where as these will have a finger off with a moments inattention. These electric secateurs need to be treated with the same amount of respect as a chainsaw!!
I've thought about the electric ones, I think I'd get more use out of a good manual pair though.

It wouldn't have helped me stuff it into bags to take to the tip though. The lawnmower picked up all the little bits anyway.if you had of used a plastic sheet on the ground it would have saved you all that picking up afterwards
