The single sided spot welder looks interesting, is it an add on to a machine or a whole new bit of kit?

It’s part of the Wieländer and Schill Invertaspot machine.

One half is a two sided pneumatic spot welder and the other is the gun which you can use for dent pulling, stud/nut welding, shrinking and single sided spot welds.

It was £20 from Temu. Unfortunately, Tupers bought the last one so you missed out.

Having it sit on the workbench with the cables at full stretch to the doorway was annoying so I sacrificed an old skate I made a while back and knocked up a quick a dirty welding trolley with offcuts until I can find the time to make a proper one.

I bought a new toy from Stakesys and started making some pieces for a bodyshell trolley.

So far it’s much faster and tidier than slitting a welding or smashing the vice with a lump hammer.

The reason I needed to get the welder off the workbench.

A friend purchased a bangle holder off Temu and when it turned up it virtually collapsed under the weight of itself. She asked me if I could make something similar for her.

This is the result.

About £85 pressure treated wood (21 lengths 89mm x 38mm x 1.6m), £10 fastenings (decking screws and stainless steel coach bolts and acorn nuts) and £25 paint. The cheap ones I've seen are flimsy. Longest part was painting it.

I knocked up ours out 3 lengths of 6x2s and a length of 4x2. I think I could knock them out in about 20 minutes on my own but I was using a nail gun.

I think materials was about £30 if that per bench (pressure treated timber but I do have a discount).
