They're really cheap nowadays and pretty much plug and play... Gives you time to put the kettle on and your feet up whilst it does the work

I have been converting a van in my spare time, it's a split work camper, so it can be used in the week for work and a camper at the weekend with little fuss. Since about February, my 8 year old daughter has been helping me to fit the roof light, wire it, insulate & board it.
We are finally getting close to fitting the floor, beds, cooker, sink and shelves.

That's a job I have to do this year. Just need to get a new gearbox and clutch fitted first!

I got some of this lawn stuff a few months back. Rather than the current £18-20, I paid £8.

The lawn was mostly weeds and moss. Took two coatings to have a proper effect, a month and quite a bit of watering.

Today I raked out the dead black vegetation which was enough to fill a flexi bucket, leaving mud underneath. Says to wait a few more weeks before I put grass seed down. Ofcourse its going to be too hot and need constant watering.

Heres a photo from a couple weeks after I put it on, after trimming, though that hides how bad it was.

Not a big fan of salmiakki I gotta admit! I am partial to some mämmi now and then though.

I've made some sanding blocks today. I made the handles too but I put too much effort in the rear handle, and not enough into the front handle.

Flexible variant.

This is for autobody work, the sandpaper is glued on, from "orphaned" belts that no I longer have a machine for.

My mum often has to flatten heavy seams in her sewing with a mallet and an old chopping board but she’s constantly beating the boards to pieces so I’ve squared up and polished a piece of track into an anvil shaped object for her.

Well I dragged my sad sorry ass self off to the fab shop and made a start on the stand for the horizontal honing machine. I also made a real effort to sort it out and tidy it up:





It is actually starting to look like something, need to grind those tacks out though.

Hopefully, I will have made my Colchester reversible by the end of play today.
Motor is dismounted for wiring back up to the reversing switch, neatly set upon a 10 mm Tufnol plate with polished brass supporting columns thus far....
