Altered this quick hitch,one of the pins had to be smaller,which involved making two reduction sleeve inserts and a new pin,the size difference was only about 0.120” so I bored the original holes out to 29.5mm before pressing in, the extra long drill was the only one of the correct size,I used this for the pre alignment.
Yes,a 10mm plate.

A complete hash of it...
It's a very temporary install of a CB I have been meaning to fit for at least 18 months.
I wanted to get a feeling for the ergonomics of where it should go, and then realised I could use the Gutter mount intended for the Landy to mount an aerial on the bonnet without having to drill any holes, and test it out.
When the engine is off, that setup works really very well...
With the engine running it is... less good.
Turns out I placed the aerial directly above the alternator, causing quite a lot of noise.
I will probably take it off tomorrow, as it's bugger all use whilst driving, and looks like a right mess.
When I have time, I want to mount an aerial through the roof, route the wiring under the headlining and A-Pillar trim to the dash, then bring it up via a PL259 bulkhead connector.
I will also fit a fused circuit into one of the unused switches on the center console and route 12V power up to a 2-pin M12 bulkhead fitting.
The result should be the exact opposite of what you see above.

More adding wheels to things that i want to move about in workshop. have stupidly heavy site toolbox that normally has all my routers, saws etc in., but where it need to go in workshop, the way the lid is hinged you need about 3" behind to open, but wont open in little spot i have set aside. so more drilling & tapping bits of 15mm plate.
Welding 15mm to 3mm, i do love this welder.

Quick update on this one , over the last few days got some big nuts welded onToday I made a start on some stand signs for the gun club A B C D and E signs for the sport trap layout

the steel plates were thanks to @doubleboost and his plasma tablejust for scale those are 620mm lengths of 16mm rebar
they have to be moron proof signs , started deburring the plates and cut five lengths of rebar . plates will get sprayed white once welded ( yes some welding will be involved) to the spikes with a big nut welded on the top for hammering purposes .
and the plates pigeon pooed to the rebar a few coats of lidls finest metal protection arserol
and today a couple of coats of fortress ( screwfix ) arserol rad enamel
and the jobs a good un , ready for the club open shoot tomorrow .

We bought some patio furniture but couldn't find a cover to suit. I decided to make one so I borrowed a sewing machine from my daughter and bought 15m2 of material. I'd never used a sewing machine before so I downloaded the 40-odd page manual, got to page 16 and set about making a cover. Came out pretty reasonable.

and now i've landed me self with a job of her indoors havn't I I'll be doin the first cut of the year later this afternoon 
It's been a week or two in the making while she's been out at work, but now the boss has seen it, a copper rose for our anniversary.
It's a lot more time intensive than I expected when I set out on it, but I think it's an improvement on 600mm of 28mm tube.
