Thank God, a specially trained specialist will do the concrete work. The frame pinches the boxes (welded brackets). And it will be nailed to the floor.Might be worth filling them with water before concreting them in, things like this have a habit of floating to the top.

When they are machined up, they always wind up being too thick. The Thackeray washers were a simple solution to cope with expansion. Definitely spacers are the way to go. I had some machined up for my Norton.
I like them! Much heavier-duty than the flimsy ones we find at the big-box stores. Strong enough for a new 'iron curtain' perhaps? Some curtain poles, then fitted.can’t wait for the decorator
Good idea. When we installed drain boxes for a driveway some years ago in Utah, we temporarily inserted some concrete blocks inside them to weigh them down before pouring concrete.Might be worth filling them with water before concreting them in, things like this have a habit of floating to the top.

Make such gates with more privacy by doing hit and miss slatting from both sides using stainless steel nails or countersunk screws . The gate will still allow strong winds to pass through it as wellGate made of pallet wood
