I have had a a rod heating oven for my welder for a few years. China's Finest, it clips onto the welder terminals. People with quick connects will be out of luck, but my big welder was made in 1942, so no new-fangled tech here...
It works pretty well with my unheated shed to dry out rods before use.
It has the cheesiest lead, with a plug like a 1970s kettle. The terminal block on the unit is very thin (1mm or so) and it broke away and finally it wasn't working. I found a piece of 10mm Perspex, glued onto the remains of the terminal block with JB Weld, drilled a couple of holes and glued the terminals in. So far so good.
