Another Ranger in, this time for a head gasket.

That's what I thought. Ridiculous design, what the hell were they thinking?Body off for only a head gasket?
Is it though - a hand full of fasteners from cab to frame, unplug wiring loom, disconnect steering etc, and lift away for fantastic access?That's what I thought. Ridiculous design, what the hell were they thinking?

I guess it encourages most people to take them to a garage for repair.

I saw a two post lift online that had 2 sets of arms, one on the outer side of the posts and the other on the inside like a normal two poster , specially made for lifting bodies off of chassis’s while still being able to raise or lower the chassis. Probably perfect for Range Rover brake pipes?Body off for only a head gasket?
Then when the car's a few years old, a blown head gasket could write the car off as too expensive to repair![]()
