On a camp site in Spain a couple of years ago, there was a Dutch A & E trauma surgeon on the next pitch, he used to visibly cringe when the kids shot past 2 up on the scooters with the helmet not strapped on in shorts & t shirt, girl on the back in a bikini top. I forgot the before photo, but this was bent like a banana - it’s the drawbar off of an old French roulotte, a large caravan, and got bent by an over-enthusiastic tractor driver trying to back it into it’s parking spot. 33mm solid round bar so took a while to warm it up, welded the little brace in to give it a bit more strength. No mug for scale - it’s 2m tall!
