...it makes complying with guidance nigh on impossible...
...just decant into the WD40 sprayer when needed. It plays havoc with my lungs...
That horrible stuff must be what was in my lathe, it came from a school/collegeAs my lathe tends to sit for weeks unused then get used a lot & then resting again i use a straight synthetic cutting oil, Crowncut 810, nice to use & leaves the machine clean & shiny. The same oil is in the tank as when i filled it 5 years ago. At College the other technician filled the tanks with Ilocut, horrible brown tuff that oxidised & left the machines covered in a case of thick brown crud.
Same.Took me weeks to get the thing clean with parrafin & scotchbrite, couldnt even see the graduations on the dials it was that thick!
I always use tap water but then again our tap water up this way is different to the stuff you lads get further South

Aye, it is probably the reason they are a strange bunch down thereThe difference is quite frightening really.
I would avoid distilled water. At least tap water has chlorine in it.
That won't help.Ours doesn't. But is UV'd.

They always do. Give mine stir before use.Yea, I'd be worried about overdoing the bleach. Dunno though, nothing seems to suggest bacterial growth is my problem to me - just appears to separate!
