I blame Audi for being donuts.
It’s a bad state of affairs if you’ve bought an R8 at however much they cost and are then having to spend another 20 grand or so on repairing the thing ten years down the line.
Iirc, they did the repairs FOC, as long as the car hadn't been altered from standard in any way.
Easy repair if it’s the boot pans you’re on about. Same as Z3MCOnly for a certain amount of time.
Had a mate who bought a big standard e46 m3 and found it cracking. And got stung as it was outside of the allotted time for the repair.
Had to repair and strengthen it out of his own pocket. Wasnt happy about it but was able to do it fairly easily.

How many original owners will ever have them replaced? I would bet that would be none of them. If you can afford a car like that you aren't going to keep it for 80K miles.
