That was the next videoYou could put your hand straight through the pulley, if you wanted to?
The marvel of technology....whatever next? Men on the moon? You never know? That was the next video
Yes I sold it to someone on this forum. Hence posting the sold linkYou say 'had', past tense?
I like that switch idea means i can leave it to cut, I picked up the DOL starter today and need to figure out where to mount it actually. I also need to figure out how to wire up where to put a microswitch to cut the power out and how to wire it into the circuitYours is different model to mine. Suspect it's an earlier model with unshielded belts. View attachment 328198View attachment 328199rView attachment 328200 This the microswitch cutoff and motor starter. Underneath the crank there's a threaded hole. I think this where a ram type suds pump was fitted that worked against the eccentric lobe, I presume? Keep contemplating making one as coolant would certainly prolong blade life. Workshop is even more cluttered. Need to move a large anvil, which I can't lift. I use the digger for that weather permitting. I have had it 25yrs, so no rush. I'll slowly race round to it.
Keep loking for a secondhand 'Tardis' on eBay, but so far no luck.

Good. You 'cooking on gas'.I like that switch idea means i can leave it to cut, I picked up the DOL starter today and need to figure out where to mount it actually. I also need to figure out how to wire up where to put a microswitch to cut the power out and how to wire it into the circuit
I did make a test cut with it also and it does what it says on the tin!
I have loads of bar to cut up into 2,3 and 4" pieces so thought this be the ideal saw for the space I have.Good. You 'cooking on gas'.
I suppose the clutch idea is if you were doing multiple cuts e.g. Piece work. But for a one off, I'd prefer it to switch off. I got the saw.... because I bought the ML7 ......and then got some 6" dia bar to make a component .......and then realised there was no way I could hacksaw or grind my way through it....... Possibly your at the same point? So I bought the saw and then found it was 3ph.....so had to get a convertor. 25yrs ago and cheap VFDs didn't exist. An arm and leg back then. So I got the basic coil/capacitor convertor of a tiny company and it's still going now. Even after being dropped multiple times!
Cheers mate@123hotchef on the Major they are fitted on the rear pivot point, will take some pics and post to assist
I'll also put some links ups to switches
Yes that's what I did. You only need to run neutral through the microswitch not both.Just looking at microswitches.
I presume that wire it to circuit should go incoming 240V - microswitch - DOL starter - motor.
Just need to work out where to fit the switch and what type there are loads.
