Just found another leaking flange on the bottom!!!
It was fine yesterday, I need a new cylinder
Cheap enough these days although a lot of cheaper ones don't like cylinder unions and need 1" or 3/4" parallel female fittings

I have an old gravity fed boiler set up, do I need a special gravity cylinder with bigger coils? If so where's the best place to get one?
This is making my head hurt now
Have you got a big and a small header tank? If yes then you only need a standard indirect cylinder, if you only have one big tank it's a primatic and a bit of work to convert it

Two header tanks, one for central heating one for cold feed to cylinder and bath etc.
The pipes to the heating coil in the cylinder are 28mm, dont the tank coils have to match so it gets to correct thermosypon flow?
I don't have a tank stat so depend on the boiler stat to turn it on and off, I don't want to overheat the boiler.
Edit:
To add I just need to keep this going though winter or until the utility room where the boiler lives is rebuilt so don't want to do any kind of upgrades etc.

Just buy one with inch connections on the coil and make sure neither pipe dips at any point
Did one a while ago and realised it wasn't working and was just using the immersion so I altered the pipes to make sure it all worked from the boiler

Yes, looks like inch fittings as well but would need to check the coil ones as can’t tell from the pics

Still not sure if I can get away with a normal cylinder though.
Unless you go special made from Albion or something then normal is all you will get. Don’t over think it

I doubt they are 1 1/2 pipes, measure the od with some veneers
