Annoyingly I didn't bother to to a bike test when it was dead easy back in the 70s, though then you could ride up to 250 on L plates indefinitely, which was fine for what I wanted, so didn't bother.
Regret it now, as I'd like to have a bike these days but I'm certainly not doing all the jumping thru hoops nonsense that they want now, even for a 125 on L plates.

I took my part 2 test on a CG125 at the start of January 1983, and it was absolutely bloody freezing! I'd done part one during the summer before and it was lovely. Passed both first time, and straight away I chopped in the 125 against a1981 GSX750......
